Noah’s Ark Academic Tutoring, Inc., located in Jarrettsville, Maryland meets the needs of all aged students, at any grade level. We have worked with students as young as age three, in pre-mathematics, pronunciation skills, and language. We have taught adult dyslexic business owners to read and earn a GED, high school diploma. We even tutored a student’s grandmother who wished to improve her grammar skills. We have tutored graduate school students in content and prepared them for certificate level status. Noah’s Ark Academic Tutoring, Inc. is prepared to meet the academic needs of each and every student.

Learning differences never completely cease; students learn to compensate for their differences. The act of learning and education continue to be a struggle. My moral and ethical choices about being a life long learner and contributing to the field of learning disabilities and dyslexia make the struggles I have encountered seem worthwhile. My goals include founding a one room schoolhouse for learning different students and educating students to be reflective, determined, and persistent to achieve the goals they set forth for themselves. We recognize that encouragement, positive reinforcement, and the application of a holistic approach to education will yield in the development of personal character and interests which often blossom from adversity. ~ Michelle, Our Tutor

On September 30th, 2022 County Executive Barry Glassman and County Councilman Chad Shrodes presented Michelle with a Proclamation and Legislator Citation to celebrate 25 years of business ethics in Harford County, MD and excellence in teaching. It is with profound sadness, that I inform our Noah's Ark Family of the passing of Edward James Gill, Senior, June 21, 2024, my maternal uncle and stakeholder in our tutoring business. Uncle Eddie maintained a finance practice for nearly 40 years; he regularly supported numerous charities, especially those providing care and medical treatment for children with cancer, encouraged and provided guidance for an outstanding number of business owners, and was the most kindhearted and generous man. His passing will be deeply felt by our family and his many business clients. Uncle Eddie's most repeated quote was, "Shelly, ALWAYS take the high road. You will never regret doing the right thing."
